Keir Starmer’s three-word response to Taylor Swift’s Wembley Era’s concert

Sir Keir Starmer thoroughly enjoyed Taylor Swift’s first London performance.

The Labour leader shared a photograph of himself and his wife Victoria at Wembley Stadium after enjoying the global superstar’s first London performance of The Eras Tour. “‘Swift’ campaign pitstop,” he captioned the post.

Asked about his opinion of the American pop star’s performance by reporters on the campaign trail in south London, the Labour leader replied: “She was fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. I know I will be asked what is my favourite song and I am not going to pretend I have got every album and know every song, although Change is the one for obvious reasons.”

The Labour manifesto, entitled Change, shares its name with a song from Swift’s 2008 album Fearless. The Labour leader added: “What I learned last night is my daughter knows every album, every song, and every word of every song, and she wasn’t alone among the teenage girls who were there.

“It was utterly brilliant.” The opposition leader shares his taste of music with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak who attended a Taylor gig during a visit to California last summer. The Prime Minister has said on the campaign trail he does not meet the threshold to be considered a “Swiftie” in the eyes of his two daughters. Taylor’s first London gig was a star-studded affair with Prince William celebrating his 42nd birthday at Wembley with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The Prince of Wales uploaded a selfie with his children and the singer.

William captioned the post: “Thank you @taylorswift for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour.” Taylor echoed the sentiment with an adorable selfie upload of her own. She also shared a picture with William, George, Charlotte and her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Taylor captioned the post: “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start @princeandprincessofwales.”

It comes after William was spotted dancing on the terrace as he watched Taylor perform. William attended the concert with his cousin Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall. The Princess of Wales stayed at home with Prince Louis. Taylor’s American footballer boyfriend Travis flew in from the US to watch the singer perform. The singer was seen waving at her boyfriend during the song So High School while Travis was spotted singing along to her hit Lover.
