Paige Spiranac Exposes ‘Hateful’ Online Attack; Calls for Solidarity Among Women for Better Future

“We do what we do is because we love this game, we want to grow it,” stated a bold Paige Spiranac back in February on one of her podcasts. The diva did so while commenting on how the golfing environment has undergone a significant change, with more women getting into the game. Although she does dub the result as ultimately “a good thing,” her efforts aren’t met with much welcome most of the time. The recent example proves it all!

The 31-year-old shared a story on her Instagram handle, calling out a golfing enthusiast who apparently sent her a ‘nasty message’ and then went ahead to share the same publicly via her story. Although she initially ignored the “hateful” DM, Spiranac in the end did take to her social media handle to post a reply to her ‘hater’. All the while, she encouraged others to be more considerate and to advocate for each other.

Paige Spiranac met with bitter messages on Instagram

The DM that Spiranac received attacked the diva by calling her a “disgrace”, “disgusting,” and “an absolute piece of t**h” all the while calling herself a “classier” woman who doesn’t objectify herself. That’s not all. She even downplayed the model’s efforts to spread awareness about the sport while adding, “You are really f**king it up for the rest of us who don’t feel good about showing our t*ts and a*es to men in a place where it’s not even necessary to dress up to get their attention.” The social media influencer often talks about the need to dress up comfortably on the course while playing the sport and sharing content on the same. That is what seems to have irked the follower, resulting in her message.

She didn’t end it there, as the enthusiast shared a screenshot of the message that Spiranac had ignored in her Instagram story. She did so while adding how one should follow Nelly Korda’s example instead of the golfing influencer’s. Korda has been in great form recently, with six wins on the women’s circuit from 9 starts.

Case in point: The online follower went again and dubbed the American beauty as someone “who sells her body on the course rather than being known for how she plays,” before accusing her of having no respect for women or tradition for golf. It looks like being both a model and an athlete in golf while combining the two at times to encourage others to do what they want didn’t sit well with the follower who pointed out the same.
