# Travis Kelce’s Coach Boldly Declares Taylor Swift’s Impact

When Taylor Swift first showed up at a Kansas City Chiefs game to cheer on Travis Kelce, the pop star’s fan base went wild. Celebrities and sports figures alike soon started weighing in on the romance, including their opinions about Swift as a person. And recently, one of Kelce’s coaches made a bold declaration about the “So High School” singer.

During an interview with local news station KCTV5, Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy was asked what it was like to be part of a team that “so many people care about right now worldwide, in part because of Travis/Taylor.

It’s definitely rare for sure, I mean you’re talking about Taylor Swift and Kelce and Patrick [Mahomes],” Nagy said in a clip shared via X. “I know Patrick and Kelce as the people they are away from the different concerts and golf venues etc. I know them on a day-to-day basis.”

Although Nagy said he has not personally met Swift, he shared that the Chiefs “love having her a part of the family, the team.”

“What she and Kelce have done is a cool story,” the Chiefs coach added. “I think it’s a credit to both of them to be two big, powerful people that are also so humble in what they do, and they’re so talented at what they do, whether it’s football or singing.”

Nagy concluded: “We’re enjoying the journey. We’re proud to be a part of it, and we want to keep it going.”

Previously, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid weighed in on the media frenzy surrounding Swift’s NFL game attendance. “I mentioned somewhere that, since the queen has passed away, she might be the most famous woman in the world,” Reid said during a February appearance on NBC Sports’ PFT Live. “But she handles it.”

When asked if he ever thought the Swift effect was “too much,” Reid shared his honest thoughts. “Honestly, Travis handled it great, she handled it great,” he said. “It was never an issue.”
