Chiefs sign lightning-fast monster from different sport who could make Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Super Bowl champs even better…. Chiefs Kingdom wants another superbowl ring for its dynasty case

Louis Rees-Zammit has meetings with the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers this week as the former Wales rugby star edges closer to realising his NFL dream, and he has enlisted the help of Jay-Z

Louis Rees-Zammit hopes to boost his chances of making it in the NFL by signing with RocNation Sports, the agency founded by rap icon Jay-Z.

The former Wales rugby star was unveiled as a new RocNation client on Tuesday and will be represented Kimberly Miale, who believes “the sky is the limit” when it comes to Rees-Zammit’s potential in the NFL.

The 23-year-old scored 14 tries in 31 caps for his country. But Rees-Zammit made the stunning announcement in January that he had terminated his contract with Gloucester to join the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, joining 15 other gifted athletes from across the globe hoping to earn a deal with one of the 32 teams.

A 10-week crash course followed before Rees-Zammit’s pro day last week, completing a series of drills under the watchful eyes of more than 50 NFL scouts. He has since visited the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns, and he will meet with the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday before heading to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday.

The past few months since announcing my career decision to join the International Player Pathway Program (IPPP) in pursuit of earning a spot on the National Football League roster in the United States for 2024 have been an exciting whirlwind,” Rees-Zammit said.

“Following 10 weeks of training at IMG academy, the IPPP’s pro day led to a lot of interesting calls and scheduled visits to a few NFL teams. These developments have ultimately directed me to make my next decision as I pursue this new challenge in my career.

“I have decided to sign with Roc Nation Sports and agent Kim Miale to represent my NFL endeavours and negotiate my on-field contract. It was an easy choice to select an agency that could properly advocate for my new NFL career venture while also understanding the significance of my time as a rugby player.

Roc Nation Sports International represents an arsenal of impressive rugby players and I am so proud to be the first athlete to bridge the gap between Roc Nation Sports and Roc Nation Sports International. I’m confident in my choice to entrust Roc Nation and Kim with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and believe that they will help me best navigate this next chapter.”

Rees-Zammit admitted he was disappointed by parts of his pro day performance, running slower than he had hoped in the all-important 40-yard dash. With hopes of making the grade as a running back or wide receiver, the speedster put in a time of 4.43 seconds, although he said he had been in as low as the 4.2s in practice, which is close to the NFL record.
