Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is saying “Viva Las Vegas” once again. After helping lead the Chiefs to a thrilling Super Bowl 2024 victory, Kelce jetted off to Australia for a romantic getaway with girlfriend and pop superstar Taylor Swift. But the party doesn’t stop for Kelce, who is now departing Sydney to continue celebrating with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs back in Las Vegas, the site of their latest Lombardi Trophy triumph.
According to sources at TMZ and Page Six, Kelce will be taking a private jet to head back to Nevada’s glitzy casinos and nightclubs. The star tight end landed in Australia last Thursday, taking in the sights at the Sydney Zoo before attending Swift’s sold-out show at Accor Stadium as part of her global Eras Tour.
The couple’s Australian vacation provided a short respite after the Chiefs’ dramatic Super Bowl win against the Philadelphia Eagles. Down at halftime, Kansas City roared back in the second half behind the pinpoint passing of Mahomes and clutch catches by Kelce. The tight end was held to just 3 catches for 21 yards in the first half, but exploded for 9 receptions and 93 yards after the break.
Kelce’s timely performance helped drive the Chiefs’ comeback and force overtime, where return specialist Mecole Hardman’s touchdown clinched the 38-35 victory. After the final whistle, Kelce was overcome with emotion, shouting “Viva Las Vegas baby!” in honor of the city that hosted Kansas City’s third Super Bowl triumph in four seasons.
In Sydney, Swift showed her man some love during her concert at Accor Stadium. The pop superstar changed lyrics in her song “Karma” from “the guy on the screen” to “the guy on the Chiefs,” nodding to her football star boyfriend. When singing “When they gave us our trophies” in “Long Live,” Swift also appeared to point at Kelce, who took in the show from a VIP tent and high-fived enthusiastic fans.
Kelce’s Australian vacation provided a short break from the whirlwind of winning another championship. Now he’s heading back to Las Vegas to join Mahomes and other Chiefs teammates in celebrating their thrilling Super Bowl victory. With the Lombardi Trophy back in hand, it’s sure to be another epic party for Kelce and Kansas City.
