Paris 2024 Olympics Tennis tips: Iga Swiatek to dominate, Coco Gauff to challenge for medals

Planet Sport looks ahead to the women’s singles tennis at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, with four-time French Open champion Iga Swiatek the one to beat.

The favourite to take the Olympic gold medal in the women’s singles tennis looks pretty clear cut as Iga Swiatek has been dominant at Roland Garros over the last few years, winning the last three French Opens.

But upsets certainly can happen and this tournament is unlike others Swiatek will have entered before.

In Tokyo three years ago the tournament threw up plenty of shocks before Belinda Bencic took home the gold medal.

Gold Medal Winner

Here we look at the women who are most likely to take home the gold medal.

Odds displayed are drawn from Planetsportbet.com and are subject to change.

Iga Swiatek (8/15)

The world number one has been utterly dominant at Roland Garros in recent years and is the standout favourite to win gold.

There will be concerns about her ability to sustain her performance over the fortnight in Paris yet again.

However, she remains the player to beat ahead of the Paris 2024 Women’s Singles.

Coco Gauff 6/1

Coco Gauff will be one of the players who will relish the chance to represent their country and she will have high hopes of a medal.

Gauff is seeded second this time around and will not have to face Swiatek until the gold medal match if both players make it that far.
