But Mahomes also played basketball during his youth, and a clip went viral of his past skills on the hardwood floor.The video was grainy as Mahomes wore a yellow jersey with few bystanders there for the game.

He dribbled the ball before chucking up a long throw that found its way into the basket.

The youngster Mahomes and his teammates celebrated instantly after the shot.

Mahomes is seen briefly putting up his arms before the video ends.But Mahomes wouldn’t follow in his dad’s footsteps and would instead take his talents to the football field.
